About Friendly Acres Seed Farm Inc.
We started growing seed in 1939 and still specialize in growing seed oats. Feed, milling, white, tan, and hulless... we have seen them all!
We have diversified to growing seed wheat and canola, including InVigor canola. We carry Secan varieties. This expands what we offer to include canolas and forages.
We are actively involved with the Yorkton Exhibition Board, Prairie Oat Growers Association, and serve on the Board of the Saskatchewan Forage Council and the Cornerstone Credit Union Board. We have demonstration plots on the farm to show local agronomics and how varieties compare, side by side.
By staying active in local activities and marketing groups keeps us sensitive to your needs. We have marketing options available to our seed customers for their products.
We are retailers for Setter Manufacturing, Canada's leading distributor of name brand liquid handling products. In addition, we are distributors for Graham Seed Treating Systems. This simple, self cleaning system is able to treat cereals, pulses, and flax with any liquid seed treatments at 7 inch auger speeds.
